At the CBE Gift Shop

What do a new baby, a wedding, a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, and a gift for a friend have in common? They all require a card, of course! Your Beth Emek Gift Shop has a complete selection of cards for nearly every occasion, as well as whimsical "Chai There" cards just for keeping in touch. The cards help support Jewish artists and organizations. For example, the ICONZ cards, designed by Leslie Cohen of Cape Town, South Africa, are made from of recycled materials and are assembled by local women, many of whom are HIV positive or caring for their HIV and AIDS infected children and grandchildren. Proceeds from these cards helps to better their living conditions, send their children to school, and provide food and shelter for their families. In addition, it helps to support Solomon House, an orphanage for AIDS children. We also carry ICONZ journals, bookmarks and collages. Think of the Beth Emek Gift Shop when looking for that perfect card - one that expresses your sentiment but does so much more.
