Beth Emek offers Sunday Religious School in our elementary program for children in kindergarten through grade 5 and in our middle school program for children in grades 6 and 7. Our school provides an environment in which children learn to celebrate their Jewish heritage and explore their relationship to God and the world around them.
A four-year Hebrew program begins in grade 3 (children must be concurrently enrolled in Sunday Religious School). Children learn to read and have some understanding of Biblical and prayer book Hebrew. Hebrew school students attend class twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays. We offer Hebrew Alef (1st Year), Bet (2nd Year), Gimmel (3rd Year) and Dalet (4th Year).
Jewish education is rooted in family and community life; for this reason, families enrolling children in religious school must also be members in good standing of the of the congregation. If you are interested in becoming a member please visit our membership page for information on membership before you begin the school registration process.
All classes will be held at Congregation Beth Emek.
If you have any questions, please contact our education director Judith Radousky by email or by phone at 931-1055 x20.
